Former stronghold of the house of Seuly, the lordship of Maupas, Morogues and Parassy was acquired around the middle of the 15th century by Jean Dumesnil-Simon, bailiff of Berry, who completely transformed the old residence and built the main part of the current construction.

Between Bourges and Sancerre, located on a wooded hill of Morogues, the Château de Maupas reflects its imposing construction in its pond.

By a shaded path with large majestic trees leading to the main courtyard, you will discover the surroundings of the castle: the French gardens at the foot of the medieval tower and the relaxing calm of the water mirror at the foot of the forest.
