Located 20 km between Bourges and Sancerre, the Menetou-Salon vineyard is among the most famous wines of the Loire Valley.
It was acquired in 1448 by Jacques Cœur, great financier of King Charles VII, who made it one of the most beautiful ornaments on his lordly table.
Today, the Menetou-Salon vineyard on which the commune of Morogues is located has an area of approximately 1,100 ha, of which 650 ha are planted. White wines represent three-quarters of the annual production volume.
The great homogeneity of the soils of the AOC Menetou-Salon gives the wine a beautiful and true identity.
The Sauvignon and Pinot Noir grape varieties find optimal conditions to best develop their aromatic potential on the Kimmeridgian clay-limestone marl soils of the Upper Jurrassic.
Today, each glass perfectly reflects the riches of our grape varieties and terroirs, for your greatest pleasure.

The Marquis de Maupas's vineyard has an area of 10 ha including 7 ha of Sauvignon and 3 ha of Pinot noir. It belongs to the Menetou-Salon Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée.
The first vines were planted in the 1950s by the father of the current marquis but the castle's farmers have always cultivated vines at the "Domaine des Terreux" for their personal consumption.
The estate's wine was bottled at the Château for the first time in 1995 by Joseph van Remoortere, already at the helm of the cereal and wine estate. Since 2013, he has handed over the reins to his son Antoine van Remoortere.
Other plantations are planned and will soon complete the beautiful enclosure of “Château de Maupas”.
